School of Health & Hospitality

OVERVIEW

The School of Health & Hospitality is the school for students who excel in science and have excellent customer service skills. The School of Health & Hospitality includes pathways in Therapeutic Services, Culinary Arts, and Sports Medicine. These career pathway options are attractive to students who enjoy critical thinking and using problem solving to improve the lives of others, their community, or their environment. Students in this school should expect to pursue career in either field, as well as pursue post-secondary education at technical schools, community colleges, and/or universities throughout Georgia.

To complete a career pathway in the School of Health & Hospitality students must take three elective courses beyond the core requirements specified for graduation. The courses must be in one of the following identified majors.

Currently,there are three majors offered in this school from which students can choose. The majors for the School of Health & Hospitality include:

  • Culinary Arts

  • Healthcare Science

  • Sports Medicine

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

Students will be encouraged to become active members of national student CTAE organizations such as, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) or Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). These organizations will provide students with the opportunities to further develop their leadership, creativity, and customer service skills.
